Capri Parker CPM, LDM
I grew up on the east side and have lived my entire adult life in Gresham. I am excited to serve the community I’ve grown up in. My dream job since I was 6 years old was to be a “baby doctor". I didn’t know what a midwife was until I was in my teens. I had the opportunity to attend a home birth when I was 17 for a family friend and fell in love! After High School I went to college and then soon became a teen parent. I had to put education on hold though, to raise my 3 children. In 2013 I started my journey in pursuit of becoming a midwife. 2020 is the year that dream finally came true.
I have attended over 100 births during my three year training period and after becoming licensed. I have trained (apprenticed) with CPMs and CNMs at 2 different birth centers in Portland, OR, and have attended several homebirths with the birth center midwives. I have also attended many births as labor support (Doula), for home and hospital births.

Personal birth experience
I gave birth to Josie in 1998, eight days early, after four hours of labor. I gave birth to Melody in 2001, fifteen days early, after five and a half hours of labor. I gave birth to Ethan four weeks early, after thirteen hours of labor. He had to stay in the NICU for three days. All of my births were at the hospital with CNMs.

My family and I like to be in nature, get together as often as possible, and play games together.
